How Topol Supports Email Collaboration and Customization

Collaborating on marketing campaigns with a remote team is always a challenge. All sides need to be on the same page, able to see changes, express their feedback, and reflect on them. Therefore, Topol comes with new features that support real-time team collaboration and enable effective communication and transparency. 

Sharing opinions with your colleagues is important. Topol comes with a new feature enabling you to comment on the draft and respond to the feedback you get. You will find the comment section directly within the email template. There is no need to exchange comments separately from the editor. All you have to do is click on the comment icon displayed in the right corner of each template section (see picture below).  

Comments from each section automatically create a thread to each section, separating the conversation thematically. It makes it easy to respond directly to a specific issue you want to comment on. You can sort the comments based on the date, or filter only unread comments. Therefore you can easily respond to feedback, tweak your designs, and iterate faster.

You can also "tag" your colleague via email. If you do so, the person will get a notification about your comments in their email box. Remember your colleague needs to have a Topol account.

Store old versions when developing your template is often quite useful. You don't need to store each version as a separate file anymore. Autosave history is another new feature available. You can display older versions and see who made what changes - and restore them if you like. 

When customizing the look and feel of your template, you probably want to use your brand's colors. Or any other colors matching a specific color design of your campaign. You don't need to look for color codes anymore. From now on, you can simply use a “pen” in the email editor, find a color piece you like, catch it by the pen - and use exactly the same color somewhere else. Saving your time you can tailor the design to your needs. Please note, that this feature is available only in Chrome-based browsers. 

In addition to these major updates, we are also shipping some little tweaks and bug fixes based on your feedback. We improved for example the opening of custom HTML code and ensured a more user-friendly way.
